Team Seas is an international collaborative fundraiser project powered by YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober. The goal of the site is to promote and raise funds to remove marine debris from the ocean. By the end of 2021, Team Seas raised 30 million dollars, which totals to a removal of 30,000,000 pounds of marine debris. The fundraiser is in partnership with Ocean Conservancy and the Ocean Cleanup.

The Client
Team Seas wanted a website that would encourage the power of people to donate and change the world. Due to the popularity of MrBeast and Mark Rober, we knew that most users would be inclined to donate, but we also had to keep in mind that the site needed to function not only for donations, but also for social and educational purposes.
The Challenge
As a request from Team Seas, we kept the interface and user experience simple and comfortable as possible. While the experience of the site had to be similar to Team Trees, it also had to be friendlier and more inviting. As part of the client's challenge, the site had to encourage users to donate from the start, but also inspire them to stay on the site and learn more about the fundraiser.
The Solution
After many weeks of research, collaboration, and feedback, the client and our team decided to keep the user experience relatively similar to TeamTrees. We responded by pushing for stronger design elements and messaging that would make donating a more enjoyable experience. A variety of badge tiers, gifting options, search capabilities, and illustrations of divers cleaning the ocean were implemented.
The Result
The target of raising 30 million U.S. dollars by the end of 2021 was achieved just before the year came to an end.
